Tracking consumption and costs at high volume
Baloo Cafe uses Smart Apothiki to track raw materials, stock and consumption, giving management a clearer view of costs and daily deviations.
Context
Baloo Cafe is a café with a steady flow of customers and high consumption of raw materials for coffee, drinks and snacks. The business runs on speed and volume.
The problem
Supplier orders were placed mostly from experience, without a clear view of consumption. Deviations in coffee, milk and consumables were noticed late, and the cost per product was not always clear to management.
The intervention
Smart Apothiki was used for structured tracking of raw materials, stock and consumption. Recording was adapted to how a café works, so it fits the staff’s daily routine.
The recording flows were designed around the daily work at the bar and in the kitchen.
The result
Management has a centralised view of consumption and a clearer view of costs, while stock management and deviation tracking run as one structured flow.
What changed day to day
Decisions about orders and drink costs now rest on recorded consumption and stock data, not only on experience.
